Testing and reiterating new app features before launch.
A technology platform was tasked with rolling out a series of new features and updates for its app. In order to verify the functionality, ease of use, and impact of these features on the overall platform experience, they needed to quickly test a wide range of items, iterate, and test again before launch.
The study was conducted in the United States.
We needed to find a way to be able to address the needs for both the evaluation of a large set of features as well as provide timely feedback that allowed for iterative testing.
a six-month User Testing Community was established
we recruited 50 platform users in the United States who completed weekly tasks designed to strengthen this new feature set before it was officially rolled out globally
The platform was able to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the new elements they were developing which allowed for adjustment and a more successful rollout.
In addition, both development and relevant product teams were able to collaborate more successfully thanks to the line of communication that was developed between the platform and its users. The team experienced an increase in innovation and an uptick in usage in the US following the release of new features.
